Art therapy with Aysha
For Victorian schools

With over 8 years of experience working with young people in community and art settings, I have contributed to youth programs at City of Greater Dandenong Libraries and SIGNAL Art Studio at City of Melbourne. I have also designed and delivered art therapy programs for students from primary to high school at Timbarra College and Prahran High School, supporting emotional well-being and self-expression.

My experience includes working with children from diverse backgrounds, facing challenges such as anxiety, bullying, behavioural challenges, and difficult home environments. I’m passionate about creating spaces where students can express themselves, build resilience, and develop healthy expressions.

Qualifications

I hold a Master of Therapeutic Arts Practice, specialising in Creative Expressive Therapies, and am registered with ANZACATA.

Group offering

Only group services are offered, no individual sessions. Weekly engagement is expected for a full term, delivering a minimum of 1 and maximum of 3 sessions per day. Capacity per group: No larger than 8. Ideally not less than 5 as a minimum, however exceptions can be made. Ages: For students aged 10 and up.

Program development

A tailored program will be developed in consultation with your school, based on the specific needs of the selected students. The program will remain flexible to adapt to the changing experiences of the students throughout the group sessions. The sessions can also be aligned with the school's educational goals to ensure that the activities support the broader educational and well-being initiatives. The program will aim to complement and strengthen the existing curriculum or mental health framework in place. A one-time trial session can be offered to introduce the student group to the program, allowing them to understand what to expect. They can then discuss their experience with parents or teachers to decide if they wish to continue.
